Over 80% of the raw materials used to make and ship 248.1 consist of perfectly good leftover, rejected, or discarded materials from large factories that would have otherwise made their way to landfills, eventually destroying our planet. 

Material Rescue Details:

  • Primary body fabric and inner lining – Upcycled denims from a collection drive from the NO MORE tribe. Lining has been sourced from the deadstock warehouse of an apparel manufacturing factory.
  • Webbing 1.75 inch – Seat belts rescued and removed from cars that have done their lives and have reached the scrapyard.
  • Zip - Leftovers from production runs across various factories.
  • Pullers, Velcro – Small, mismatched lots lying in various corners of manufacturing companies
    across India.
  • Thread – Leftover thread cones from garment/travel bags/ accessories manufacturers.
