A sling bag that makes a serious statement and helps reduce waste by giving a second life to materials that might have otherwise ended up in a landfill. It is made from salvaged car seatbelts taken out of cars that had reached the scrapyard alongwith a statement car seat buckle.

Over 80% of the raw materials used to make and ship 193.1 consist of perfectly good leftover, rejected, or discarded materials from large factories that would have otherwise made their way to landfills, eventually destroying our planet.

Material Rescue Details:

  • Webbing 1.75 inch – Seat belts rescued and removed from cars that have done their lives and reached the scrapyard.
  • Primary body fabric and inner lining – Upcycled fabric and lining has been sourced from an apparel manufacturing factory that closed down post covid and had some export dead stock lying with them.
  • Upcycled faux leather used for piping has been sourced from the excess stock warehouse of an accessories manufacturing company.
  • Zip – Leftovers from production runs across various factories
  • Pullers – Small, mismatched lots lying in various corners of manufacturing companies across
    India
  • Thread – Leftover thread cones from garment/travel bags/ accessories manufacturers.
